Handwara, Oct 14 (KNO): Following the untoward situation in the valley with little attendance of devotees, Kashmiri Pandits Thursday performed Ramnavmi puja at Bhadrakali Temple at Handwara in north Kashmir's Kupwara district.

Talking to news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the devotees said that they felt very safe in the valley but were dishearted to see the little gathering of pandits who did not come for the festival like previous year.
A devotee who had come from Habba Kadal Srinagar said that he performs puja every year in Handwara and there was no fear at all like the previous year’s nor there were any security-related concerns.
"We performed puja happily,” he said.
About the recent situation in the valley, the devotee said that everyone should not be blamed for the mistake of a single individual and this must not hamper the bond and brotherhood in Kashmir.
"We have prayed that the situation gets better and normal days return. There is a need for love so that everyone can live in bonhomie," he said.
A female devotee said had apprehensions that the situation won’t be conducive but they performed the darshan without any threat.
